The 2nd grade students from Alexander D. Sullivan School took part in traditional Plena dances in partnership with the Segunda Quimbamba Folkloric Center. A special thanks goes out to Young Audiences, Dance New Jersey and Young Audiences for bringing this unique opportunity to PS30.

NJ Exemplary Educator Award

Grinch Day was celebrated by our staff and students on December 14, 2023. Everyone looked extra grinchy in their favorite Grinch or red and green outfit!

Last week we had a visit from the Conductor for our Kindergarten classes. Today he came back to see our PreK students!

1st place in the state for FIRST LEGO League Core Values

On Monday, December 11th, PS #30's 5th Grade Choir traveled to the Jersey City Board of Education to spread some holiday cheer! The students sang for many departments and even for Dr. Norma Fernandez, our Superintendent! The Choir was led by Mrs. Sharon Ross, music specialist at PS #30 and the caroling was organized by JCPS Music Supervisor, Ms. Stacy Feszchak.

Congratulations to our top three winners at our 5th Grade Science Fair on Friday, December 8th.

1st Place: Juan Fe Suriel "Which Type of Exercise is the Best for Your Heart?"
2nd Place: Enaliz DeJesus "What Kind of Water is Best for Plant Growth?"
3rd Place: John Adam Parungao "What Materials Make the Best Water Filter?"

All three winners are students of Mrs. Diana Gracia.
